Story of our site

It was a cold night, I was cuddled up in a blanket and looking at some sites and wondering how well they are designed. One of my friend came just in time and we talked about owning a domain in the web. Doing something that would be helpful for students specially. But buying a domain wouldn't be possible at that time [and not even now], so we thought of other way of doing so.

We decided to publish a blog for Sikkim Students and host it in blogspot domain and in no time we started our work. We worked late night [morning I must say], till 4 AM and we had our blog http://skmstudent.blogspot.com published in the web. Though no article to be published, but we had created some empty spaces that we were sure would be filled with the help of enthusiastic Sikkim Students.

The next day we missed our morning classes because we were so much excited about our blog. Designing and planning took our entire morning, talking about how and why. I would rather say, we had a strong WHY which made our HOW possible. Meanwhile we now had our sms service too [though with just two members subscribed to it].

We started actively working on our blog and we are very much thankful to the students in and around Sikkim [whom we cannot thank individually] for supplying us with raw ideas and articles. We started receiving mails and calls, though very less in numbers but it was a spark to our vision. Within first month, we had 1000+ visitors in our site [not bad at all, isn't it?].

We thank all those active visitors and followers who have been our inspiration to make us work dedicatedly in this blog. And also each individual on facebook who have liked our page Sikkim Students and have been actively commenting on the issues. We expect the same support from the Students in the near future.
