ICFAI to introduce B. Tech course

The ICFAI University Sikkim will be intorducing various B. tech programmes for the academic year 2011, said Vice Chancellor M/ Raja today in a Press Club of Sikkim premises.

Addressing the media, Raja and the university registrar SG Tashi said that the introduction of such specialized courses will open up a new avenue for students of Sikkim and neighboring areas as engineers are in great demand. Keeping in view of the industry demands, the ICFAI University has introduced such adacemic programmes, they said.

The Vice Chancellor informed that the university students will be placed in reputed companies after they graduate. He also highlighted the focus of the university to ensure all round development of the students apart from academic studies.

Tashi asserted that the university will leave no stones unturned in giving the students the benefit of academic flexibilities. Students from our university will be sent to various industries for internships where they will be given a practical platform to gain knowledge and experience, he said.

Press Club of Sikkim Chief Advisor CD Rai was present as the chief guest on the occasion.
